Is Dollywood worth going to?
We have had a busy month, my daughter and I. Traveling, work and tons of fun experiences with yummy Eastern Shore seafood and an amazing Tony Robbins UPW experience. It is now time to head back home to Texas. On the road again we went to the Washington DC area for a quick overnight stay before heading to Tennessee. The travel scenery was breathtaking. All the colors of fall were out for their final view of this season. We headed for Pigeon Forge in the hopes of visiting Dollywood. We wanted to know: Is Dollywood worth going to? The Ultimate Girl’s Trip
On the road again. Getting adults and a toddler packed for some time away from home is a challenge, but one I am willing to take on; for the personal and professional benefits are well worth it for my daughter and me. With the car packed and the little one snug in her car seat, we are off. A great purchase is some sort of DVD/Video Player and some favorite movies. For my daughter, the favorite is Frozen. I signed up for the Disney Movie Club. It was five movies for a dollar and two more for a special price. I walked away with seven movies for the price of one at…

The Westin Riverwalk San Antonio, Texas
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Westin Riverwalk property this weekend. The property could not have been in a better location. When we arrived in busy San Antonio, I immediately noticed the private drive provided by the Westin. The private horseshoe driveway off of the street was very helpful for unloading our luggage and keeping the kids safe from traffic! We were immediately greeted by the valet and helped with our luggage. I went to check in and learned that our room had been upgraded to the Hospitality Suite with 2 attached rooms. The bellman helped us with our luggage and upstairs we went. When I saw the…

The Hilton Grand Vacations- The District by Hilton Club
n Washington DC in the center of the West End, very close to Georgetown, is a hidden gem: The District by Hilton Club. Uniquely located across the top 3 floors of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Georgetown hotel, The District is just 4 blocks from Metro Lines and a quick walk to attractions, dining, shops and DuPont Circle nightlife. Upon arrival my first impression was all the beautiful trees and greenery, right in the heart of busy, metropolitan Washington DC. As I drove up I noted the private drive, which made me feel safer with a small child. The bellmen appeared immediately to help me with my belongings. We…

The Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
Located along the shores of Kiawah Island, South Carolina, The Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island is a beautiful oceanfront hotel located just 21 miles from downtown Charleston. A part of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, the Sanctuary is one of three options for accommodations offered for resort guests–other options include the Resort Villas or Premiere and Private homes. We were fortunate to stay at the Sanctuary as we traveled from Orlando to Washington, DC and we were enchanted by the fantastic service and exquisite accommodations that capture the history and charm one associates with the South. As you enter the Island you must pass through security gates and be cleared by the…

Walt Disney World
To say my daughter and I were excited to be at Walt Disney World would be an understatement. I took the advice of a Disney expert and arrived about one hour prior to opening. There were still lines for bag checks and admission, but the wait was minimal. During our day at Disney we used the both the Ferry Boat and the Monorail. Both were comfortable and convenient for use with a little one in a stroller. Upon entering the Magic Kingdom we felt the magic immediately. The excitement I saw in my daughter’s eyes let me know it was going to be a great day. We raced over to Fantasy Land…
